You are assuming the role of designer and merchandiser for a major activewear company. Your project manager has announced a new line based on a geographical location. Choose a location to research and create a concept board as a resource to develop a collection of textiles for a specific market. Utilizing the new textiles, create a new capsule for the activewear brand of your choice.

the moodboard

The moodboard was created using Adobe Photoshop and featured researched images as well as photographs from a 2019 Moroccan family vacation.

the color story

Morocco is a beautiful place— especially if you happen to visit the city of Chefchaouen. Also known as “The Blue City,” the city is painted door to door with a native blue paint. The “Chefchaouen” blue, or 285 C, quickly became an important color within the story, with the addition of 2707 C and 659 C as hues portrayed in aerial views of the city. The rest of the vibrant colors were chosen through smaller items sprinkled throughout the city.

the icons

The icons were created using Adobe Illustrator. The inspiration behind every icon came from either door frames, mosaic tile art, and art pieces throughout the city. Some favorites are the bottom three.
